Urruti is design, is art and is also nature. It is Mediterranean, soft breeze and sunset light. Urruti is the result of a deep search, of tireless observation, of unanswered questions, of crisis, of transformation, of love and heartbreak.
Statement
Out of curiosity, the artist experiments with shapes, textures and materials, creating works of art made from mycelium (mushroom roots that lie under the ground). Engrossed in this new material, Pilar plays and experiments with the randomness of nature. She sows indicating a certain shape, but it is the living material itself that forges the final piece.
The artist explores and develops concepts that arise in her creative process and invites us to reflect and debate on ideas and paradigms rooted in our society.
